Dr Prashant Naik, Director for Design and Development at NU OSSA, is an otologist in private practice having fixed his lifetime pursuit as “the study of temporal bone”.
To put it briefly, his passion for dissection of the temporal bone culminated in the making of exact 3D-Printed Replica of the bone. Our each temporal bone must have every possible internal as well as external anatomical details that must satisfy hawkeye.
Presently the vice president of the Indian Society of Otology, Nagpur Chapter, he is also a member of the AAOHNSF and Politzer Society. A representative of India on the Asia Pacific Caucus of the American Academy, additionally, he has been selected as a peer reviewer and International Editorial Board Member of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery journal.
A University Gold Medalist, Dr Prashant works independently as an otology tutor to the PG’s. He has been a faculty at many workshops on the temporal bone, and his interest in teaching the bone is evident in that his temporal bone dissection laboratory is open to all.
